As a long-time resident of the San Francisco Bay Area I’m a bit embarrassed to admit that I had never been to the Point Reyes National Seashore before this year. (I once drove to the entrance of the park but didn’t go in…) I finally did go last month and I’m glad I did.

This photograph was taken on the high bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean near the lighthouse. Although it isn’t particularly evident in this peaceful looking photograph, the wind was howling so strongly that I could barely stand up in it.
