This is a photograph from pretty much my favorite time in the Sierra Nevada high country - the period from after Labor Day until mid-October. At this time of year the crowds diminish, things seem to slow down, the light is beautiful, occasional snow dusts the peaks, and the plants start to take on their fall colors. Dan Thanks, Jim.
