Evening Light and Clearing Storm, Pacific Ocean

Evening light appears as the last clouds of a departing Pacific coast storm depart just before sunset – Point Lobos State Reserve, California.

Another photograph from last week’s quick visit to Point Lobos State Reserve, California. A front had passed through very late in the afternoon, quickly dropped a bit of rain and drizzle, and just as quickly moved on. Shortly before sunset the last of the clouds began to move through and as the atmosphere behind the passing squall line began to clear the warm pre-sunset light lit up the clouds and the surface of the ocean.
